​スカジャンサテン-Sukajan Satin-

第二次世界大戦後に、日本を占領する連合国軍として横須賀周辺に駐留したアメリカ軍兵士達が自分のジャケットに和風の刺繍を入れてもらったのが始まりのスカジャン。KUONでは 経糸に発色のキレイなレーヨン糸、緯糸に綿を使用することで、生地表面はスカジャンらしい光沢のあるキレイ色が染色され、かつ、綿糸との交織効果で、レーヨン100の素材より扱いやすいです。 絹のような光沢感とドレープ性のある高級感、コットンのカジュアル感を持ち合わせた表情が特徴です。

 

Sukajan Satin (Souvenir Jacket Satin)

Souvenir jacket, especially Sukajan is originally made for American soldiers who stayed in Yokosuka after the end of the Second World War. By using rayon yarn for the warp and cotton for the weft, the fabric can be dyed in beautiful glossy color. Cotton weft also makes the fabric to be cared easier than 100% rayon satin. Featuring silky luster and luxurious drape, and casual look of cotton.
